| Highly skilled (and highly paid) DJs get a lot of respect from the crowd due to their mastery of the different types of disk jockey equipment. Specialized equipment for DJs such as the Technics turntable require a fair bit of practice before you are good enough to play out in a club. However a lack of skill has never really been a major drawback for a DJ.
